To guide staff in allowing staff to take Vacation Leave in states and International locations where travel restrictions have been identified by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment
1. Employees are encouraged to refrain from travel to states or international destinations during this period of the COVID-19 pandemic.
2. Employees who travel out of Kansas for any purpose to a location covered by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment travel restrictions shall be quarantined for 14 days once they return to Kansas. The day they return to Kansas will be considered day 0.

4. If an employee qualifies for the Emergency COVID Leave, and has not already used that leave, the city would first allow the employee to use that new leave. The city cannot require accrued vacation or sick leave be used before the new Emergency Leave. After the emergency leave is exhausted, the employee could be required to use accrued vacation and sick leave. If that accrued bank is exhausted, the leave could be unpaid leave.
