The City of Hillsboro has hired consultants to work with the City in developing ordinances, regulations and policies. The consultants are paid to act on the City’s behalf. The purpose of this policy is to clarify who they are representing.
The City of Hillsboro has adopted zoning regulations, sub-division regulations and various policies. If an individual or developer is annexing and platting property, and they need interpretations of City regulations, they are to hire their own legal counsel. These services are not going to be paid by the City of Hillsboro.
