Acknowledging the importance of employee wellness, the city will provide payroll deduction for employee memberships to Infinity Fitness LLC, 115 N Main, Hillsboro KS. Infinity Fitness has chosen to give employees of the city a corporate discount of $10 per month from the ordinary membership rate in effect for each membership. To promote wellness, the city will match the $10 per month corporate discount for employees provided sufficient funds exist in the city's health insurance claims reserve funds. Funds provided by the City for employee memberships will be considered wellness benefits and may be subject to taxation under IRS regulations.

Membership terms commence on the first of the month and terminate in the last day of the month. Membership fees will be deducted from participating employee paychecks twice each month and remitted to Infinity Fitness around the 1st of the following month. Upon written notice to the City and Infinity of an employee's authorization to join and participate in the payroll deduction, such employee's deduction will commence upon the first payroll of the month following such notice and the membership will commence on the 1st of the month following the first full month of deduction. An employee may terminate the membership and deduction by providing written notice of the same to the City and Infinity. The last deduction will occur on the second pay period of the month following such notice and such employee's membership will terminate on the last day of the second month following such notice.

Hillsboro Fire Department members are also eligible for corporate membership from Infinity. Fire fighters do not have regular payroll and are not eligible for payroll deduction. However, fire fighters can seek $10 per month reimbursement from the city for membership at Infinity by submitting an official receipt from Infinity proving their membership. Reimbursement will be included in the bi-annual payroll for the fire department.

As per an MOU with Infinity Fitness, the City has no liability for the action of employees while utilizing their Infinite membership.
