To create a fair system for fuel purchases from all participating vendors in the City of Hillsboro.
Effective March 1, 2004, all gasoline purchases will be made on a departmental rotation basis in the following sequence:
Ampride/Co-op Electric & Water
Jost Service Station Street & Park
Vogt’s Police, Fire & Sewer
Effective March 1, 2004, all diesel purchases will be made on a departmental rotation basis in the following sequence:
Water, Street, Park & Sewer Vogt’s
Electric, Police & Fire Ampride/Co-op
A separate schedule will be published to show rotation sequence for future months purchases.
All city departments will use self-service pumps when fueling city vehicles & equipment as previously specified in Policy No. 21. All tickets must be signed by the city employee making the fuel purchase, and will show the vehicle number or description.
This policy is to be strictly adhered to by all departments, including police & fire, except for emergency needs.
