CHAPTER 14. TRAFFICCHAPTER 14. TRAFFIC\Article 5. Truck Parking

As used in this article:

(a)   Truck means transport, truck tractor, farm tractor, road tractor, or any vehicle of a licensed capacity of 24,000 pounds of GVW or more.

(b)   Trailer refers to what is commonly known as a semi-trailer or tractor-trailer, whether fully enclosed or flat-bed.

(a)   No truck and/or trailer shall remain parked for more than forty-five (45) minutes on any street within the City of Hillsboro.

(b)   No truck and/or trailer shall be allowed to have its engine or refrigeration unit motor running for more than forty-five (45) minutes in any 24-hour period on any street or private drive within any residential district within the City of Hillsboro.

(c)   No truck and/or trailer shall park on any street of the City so as to block the lanes of traffic or hinder the free flow of traffic from either direction, unless the same is necessary to accommodate the loading or unloading of the trailer, for a period not exceeding ninety (90) minutes.
